The term "lynching" is derived from his name. Flash forward to 2009 where we meet Nix Dunn, a Brooklyn, NY public school teacher/scholar on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Obsessed with the letter, he creates a Lesson Plan during Black History Month in order to teach his students about the psychological damage he believes still enslave African Americans today.
