SHOE CRAZY

Written and Directed by Eddy Duran

Evan is a young successful bank investor. He has everything he wants in life. He has a nice apartment, a great job, an office with a wonderful view and bank account to match. Coupled with his two successful best friends Manny and Mike these men have the world at their feet. After being scorned by his girlfriend Evan’s new venture is to find a woman. He doesn’t want just any woman, he wants the perfect one. He meets a real estate broker by the name of Erika. Erika is beautiful and intelligent. She sells Evan a luxurious apartment on the Upper West Side yet he wants more of Erika. She has qualities Evan has always admired; independent and money hungry. Evan’s advances fall to deaf ears. Although she finds him flattering, she is not interested. Evan finds the rejection challenging and he’s in it to close the deal and get the girl. After a while, his resilience starts to wear thin and his boys Manny and Mike become concerned.

Walking the streets one afternoon Evan befriends a street artist named Akire. Akire paints portraits in the park and sells them to admiring customers. Akire is a bohemian with dirty blonde locks and her spiritual ways grow on Evan. He’s found a friend and confidant in Akire, unfortunately her feelings are going in a different direction and she starts to fall for Evan. In an attempt to rescue Evan from his loathing and depression Mike and Manny take him out to a strip bar named The Danger Zone. That evening Evan meets a stripper named Erotika, a sensual dark haired Brazilian. An intense sexual relationship develops with Erotika calling the shots. No dating, no friendship, not even real names, just as Erotika prefers it. After the sex games are over Evan naturally wants more, at least to know Erotika’s real name, but to no avail. Erotika demands her privacy and soon the triangle takes a wicked turn. Evan begins to probe deeper and deeper into the women in his life: Erika who excites him with her confidence but finds her rejections intriguing; the stripper who completes his fantasies but offers nothing more, and the artist who finds herself living an empty desire.
